FRANCESCO PIEMONTESI

Francesco begins the new year by making his debut with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in two concerts on 10 and 11 January. The concerts are conducted by Andrew Manze, and together they perform Brahms Piano Concerto No.2. The programme is completed with Mozart Symphony No.41 “Jupiter”. Francesco and Andrew Manze have collaborated regularly over the years, including a critically acclaimed recording in 2017 of Mozart Concerto No.25 & No.26 with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

The following week, Francesco returns to Germany to give two further performances of the Brahms Concerto No.2 with the MDR Leipzig and Aziz Shokhakimov on 19 and 20 January. He also returns to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra on 24 January to perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.19 and finally the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchestra Berlin on 27 January, with whom he performs Richard Strauss’ Burlesque and Mozart’s Concert-Rondo in A major.
