Francesco returns to Wigmore Hall on 15 December to continue his Mozart Odyssey, performing the third recital of the series which features Mozart Piano Sonatas Nos.5, 12, 4 and 15. The Sunday Times wrote of the second concert in the series in July 2016:
“By dint of an immaculate weighting of tone and fastidious articulation in every sense, he not only made these works sound plausible on a big Steinway, but uncommonly plausible altogether (they are easily patronised), and made me feel I didn’t want to hear them in any other way. The rapturous precision of his playing was at a pitch of intensity in the F minor Siciliano centrepiece of the Sonata in F, K280, but all the slow movements of the sequence stood out.”
The Mozart Odyssey returns next season.
