Francesco begins 2018 in Dresden, joining Marek Janowski and the Dresden Philharmonic for two concerts on 13 and 14 January. Francesco performs Bartók’s Piano Concerto No.3, which is followed on the programme by Bruckner’s Ninth Symphony. Francesco recently performed with Janowski in November, when he joined him and the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra to perform Liszt’s Piano Concerto No.2.
Other highlights for Francesco in the new year include another performance of the Bartók concerto in London with Sir Mark Elder and the London Symphony Orchestra in February, concerts in Portland with the Oregon Symphony and a European tour with Sir Roger Norrington and the SWR Symphony Orchestra, visiting Mannheim and Freiburg in Germany as well as Cardiff, Basingstoke and London. A second tour follows in April, when Francesco joins Emmanuel Krivine and his Orchestre National de France for concerts in Paris, Dijon and the Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival.
