Following his debut with the orchestra at the Stresa Festival earlier this summer, Francesco rejoins the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich for three performances this month. He joins the orchestra and conductor Charles Dutoit to perform Beethoven Piano Concerto No.3 at Zurich’s Maag Halle on 18, 19 and 20 October.
Elsewhere this month, Francesco returns to London’s Wigmore Hall to continue his Mozart Odyssey. In this latest installment of his critically acclaimed series, Piemontesi performs Mozart’s Rondo in D major, 9 Variations on a Minuet by Duport and Piano Sonatas 13, 16 and 18. The Sunday Times praised Francesco’s “immaculate weighting of tone” and “rapturous precision” in an earlier concert in the series.
Francesco then completes a busy month with two recitals at the Hotel Pilatus-Kulm in Lucerne on 28 and 29 October, performing sonatas by Schubert.
