Francesco makes his debut with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra on 20 September, performing at the Helsinki Music Centre. Francesco performs under the baton of Andrew Manze, with whom he recently recorded Mozart Piano Concertos No.25 and No.26 with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra for their latest recording on Linn Records:

“These are lively, stylish performances, alert to every fleeting change of mood. Piemontesi plays with the vivacity of a young man and decorates the solo parts sparingly, but his captivating soft playing is equally in touch with the music’s inner soul.”
Financial Times

“Piemontesi’s polished playing is alert with exactly the kind of spontaneity essential to great Mozart performance. Lithe and without fuss, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra makes clear from the opening bars that this is historically informed Mozart with an updated feel. Andrew Manze, one of the most versatile musicians around, is the perceptive conductor.”

Elsewhere this month, Francesco performs Brahms Piano Concerto No.1 with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and Philippe Herreweghe in Bruges and Antwerp on 22 and 24 September. He also returns to the Settimane Musicale di Ascona, of which he is the Artistic Director, for a recital with Louis Lortie on 25 September.
